| 西周中晚期，由于社会问题频出与语言文字的发展，出现了许多老臣直谏君王的文辞记录，是中国古代直谏文辞兴起与发展的重要阶段。老臣们遵循政教的传统，通过讲说道理、赋作诗歌等方式，毫不留情地直言批评周王违背先王德政、不修德行、丧失民心等错误，反映出当时宗法制崩溃下老臣职责的延续与贵族礼乐地位的上升。 |

| Emergence and Development of Direct Remonstrance in the West Zhou Period |

| Abstract: |
| Records of direct remonstrance began to proliferate in the middle and late west Zhou period because of frequent social problems and the development of language and words. Aged officers as well as elders followed the political education tradition to have criticized Zhou kings through poems and speeches, trying to make the kings face social problems in violating previous kings’ morality, not cultivating themselves according to virtue and losing morale and so on. This could be a reflection on the continuity of aged officers’ responsibility and the promotion of the propriety position of the lords under the background of the collapse of patriarchal clan system at that time. |
