    摘要:

    关于中国地方官员晋升机制的理论和实证研究已经走过了超过20年的历程。随着周黎安等经济学者将其提炼为“晋升锦标赛理论”,从地方政府竞争和地方官员晋升角度解释经济发展已经成为一个具有国际影响力的理论框架。在此过程中,关于中国地方官员晋升机制的考察和争论并未停止,而是不断更新和完善,构成整个研究话题的核心脉络。本文系统性地梳理了地方官员晋升机制研究成果,强调了经济学者对地方官员激励和竞争理论的不断反思与完善,指出其对于中国经济社会发展和国家治理能力提升的良好解释能力,并展望了未来的研究方向。

    Abstract:

    Theoretical and empirical research on the promotion mechanism of Chinese local officials has gone through more than 20 years. With the economists such as Zhou Li’an and so on refining it as a “promotional championship theory”,explaining economic development from the perspective of local government competition and promotion of local officials has become a theoretical framework with international influence. In the process,the investigation and debate about the promotion mechanism in China has not stopped,but has been continuously updated and improved,which constitutes the core of the entire research topic. This paper systematically sorts out the context of the study of local officials’ promotion mechanism,emphasizes the economists’constant reflection and improvement of the theory of local officials’incentives and competition,and points out future research direction
