| 卡米拉·帕格利亚的《性面具》一书围绕“性”这一话题，通过强调自然与文明、女性与男性、大地崇拜与天空崇拜、异教与犹太——基督教、酒神精神与日神精神的二元对立，试图证明西方文化的连续性和整体性。虽然不失其新颖和特别之处，然而，自然主义的生理特征决定论让《性面具》陷入简化论的泥潭；以性之名将女性与男性、自然与艺术二元割裂让帕格利亚的整个理论构架存在绝对论的危险；对其他学人相关研究的忽视以及在文本分析对象选择上的随机性和跳跃性，又使《性面具》一书陷入相对论的狭窄视野。 |

| Centered on sex, the taboo topic for a long time, Sexual Personae by Camille Paglia tries to prove the continuality and integrity of western culture through emphasizing dualism of nature and civilization, male and female, earth worship and sky worship, heresy and Jew——Christianity, Dionysian and Apollonian spirits. Although the analysis is novel and special, the physiological characteristics of determinism of Naturalism makes Sexual Personae fall into reductionism. There is the risk of absolutism of theoretical frame by Camille Paglia for the dual separate of male and female, nature and arts in the name of sex. Sexual Personae is caught in relativity as well for the neglect of other scholars’ research and the random and incoherence of selecting text analysis subject. |
