| 萨特在其1939年的文章中称，时间是《喧哗与骚动》这部小说的真正主题。小说情节的混乱和时间秩序的错乱体现了该小说的深层时间动因。表面看来，小说中主要人物的悲剧是由从未露面的中心人物凯蒂造成的。实际上，造成他们悲剧的原因恰恰在于他们的错误时间观。本文拟从班吉、昆丁、杰生及迪尔西四人的时间观出发，通过探讨他们对时间的看法来阐述他们各自的悲剧性，从而突出福克纳本人忘记过去，立足现在，憧憬未来的时间观念。 |

| In his essay of 1939, Sartre exclaims that time is the theme of 〖WTBX〗The Sound and the Fury,the confusing plot and chronological disorder give expression to the deep reason for time in this novel, superficially, however, the tragedy of the main characters in this novel comes from the center character Caddy, who has never truly appeared, and actually, their tragic fates lie in their false outlook on time. This paper intends to interpret the four characters’, i.e., Benjy, Quentin, Jason and Dilsey’s outlook on Time to analyze their tragedies, so as to show Faulkner’s idea on time, i.e., we should forget the past, stand on the present and look to the future. |
