| 本文从荣格心理学中“永恒男孩”原型、英雄原型和独立人格的形成视角解读《阿拉比》小男孩的人格。与古希腊神话中阿多尼斯对比，呈现小男孩人格中的“永恒男孩”原型，前者将“永恒男孩”原型渗透到人格的全部，因而夭折；后者却避免其侵蚀，建立起独立的人格，成功过渡到英雄原型第一阶段。《青年艺术家的肖像》中主人公进一步证实了小男孩实现英雄原型第二阶段。健全独立的人格使小男孩打破了前人展示的落魄的幻灭者形象。 |

| The Protagonist of James Joyce’s Araby Deviates from “Eternal Boy”——Interpretation of Jung’s Psychological Archetype |

| The personality of little boy in Araby is examined and interpreted from the perspective of “eternal boy” archetype, hero archetype and independent personality formation in Jung’s psychology. Compared with Adonis in ancient Greek myth, “eternal boy” archetype is demonstrated in the personality of little boy, the former penetrated “eternal boy” archetype into the whole personality and so failed, the latter avoided being eroded, so independent personality was set up and “eternal boy” was successfully transited into the first period of hero archetype. The protagonist in A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man further verified that little boy realized the second period of hero archetype, thus, the robust and independent personality makes little boy smash the disheartened image of a vagrant displayed by ancestors. |
