| Myth Today is created by Roland Barthes, which indicates middle class ideology hidden in mass culture, whilst Myth Yesterday here refers to Ren of Confucianism that guided ancient Chinese thinking for several thousand years, and its essence was investigating things, attaining knowledge, being sincere, amending the mind, disciplining oneself, regulating the family, ruling the state and the world. Herb image in literary works can reflect the existence and penetrability of Myth Yesterday well. |
