| 方言是语言的地区性反映，它在不同程度上保留了古代汉语的音读，词汇和某些语法现象。近代汉语研究的主要对象是口语成分较多的作品，这些作品具有浓厚的地方色彩，并且由于在时代性方面与现代汉语比较接近，运用现代方言以诠释近代汉语词是有可能并具有非常广阔的前景的。 |

| Dialectal words are the reflections of the area changes of language, which keep down the sounds, vocabularies and some grammars of ancient Chinese language. The main materials of study of neoteric Chinese are works with much spoken language and much district color. Because of the adjacent distances with modern Chinese, it is possible and has much foreground for us using modern Chinese to explain the words of neoteric Chinese. |
