| 近代史上的报人大多数都是由知识分子充当的.这些报人的知识分子品格中有传统的一面,他们像其他知识分子一样参加过科举考试,具有知识分子特有的精英意识;又有近代化的一面,他们都接受了西方的进步思想.传统的一面与近代化的一面结合在一起,使他们用办报的形式参与政治,或改良,或革命.传统的一面又常常与近代化的一面发生矛盾,集中表现在他们对报纸的商业属性的漠视上.这就构成了近代报人复杂的知识分子品格. |
