Abstract:Centrifugal fans, as widely used in general machinery, are one of the major energyconsuming equipment in the production links of large enterprises, therefore, every 1% efficiency improvement has great significance to energy conservation and emission reduction. In view of the large number of centrifugal fans in the current largescale operation, the performance curve is shifted to the direction of large flow rate and high specific speed, which leads to the reduction of operating efficiency.Based on the uniform test design method, a high efficiency centrifugal impeller suitable for high specific speed conditions is studied.Based on a common centrifugal fan with a specific speed of 79, the structural parameters of the coupled impellers are designed and numerically simulated through a uniform test. The new centrifugal impeller model is improved to a static pressure efficiency of 59.8% at a high specific speed with a specific speed of 100.The static pressure efficiency is increased to 44.09%, and the average static pressure is increased by 4 to 5% in the area where the specific speed is 120.It shows that this design method is effective and simple and easy to implement.
