The outdoor activity space in residential district bears the important function for present children recreational activities. Through onspot survey and questionnaire in 11 residential districts of Zhengzhou City and by using Analytic Hierarchy Process, the safety evaluation for children outdoor activity space in the residential districts is conducted by coupling the experts’ opinions from such three aspects as human design factor, natural environment factor and social mechanism factor, residential district samples are scored by introducing creditability factor, based on that, the safety problems in outdoor space in residential districts of Zhengzhou City are analyzed and corresponding suggestions are given in order to provide the reference for safety design and reconstruction in children’s outdoor activity space in the residential districts.
