According to the problems such as incomplete course system, single teaching mode, unsystematic practice link and so on in present technology type courses in environment art design major, this paper discusses the ways and methods for teaching reform of this type of courses and points out that reform exploration for engineering technology type courses firstly should enhance the effective and sufficient integration between the courses by breaking the limitation of the barriers between the courses, then increase the design proportion of this type of courses and adjust the teaching contents to realize the diversification of teaching methods based on the characteristics of the students majoring in art and thirdly intensify the reform measures in practical teaching link to attain the goal of the cultivation of comprehensive design ability of the students.
