According to the requirements of the inland open economy,the inland open economy index system is constructed,principal component analysis method is used to calculate the openness of Chongqing and 8 provinces in middle regions of China, the conclusion that Chongqing is in the less-developed west part of china,but its economic openness,by comparing with the middle area in China, still stays at a good position.
