By using mean value,weighted variation coefficients and Theil Index,the per capita assets income of the residents in the west part of China during 2000-2009 is analyzed,and the results show that the per capita assets income in the west is low but its invreasing rate is rapid,especially the assets income gap between western urban and rural residents and the gap between western urban residents are te main factor to affect total assets income of the western residents of China.
