"逃禅"一词出自杜甫《饮中八仙歌》,宋以后,文人多用之,但其意义却多有不同,历代注家对此词的理解也多有歧义。杜诗"逃禅",其义实为"逃出禅戒",后引申发展为"遁世而参禅事佛",即逃入禅,同时,在此基础上延伸出第三义:禅坐,有类似禅定之状态。
