科技期刊应具备科学性、知识性和学术性,其专业性和学术性是有别于其他类型期刊的最大特点。论述了科技期刊编辑专业能力的重要性,指出了提高科技期刊编辑专业能力的途径是:培养学习能力、努力掌握新知识,掌握学术研究最新动态,加强科研能力培养,加强多学科基础知识能力培养等。
