Abstract:In order to better control and prevent cholera epidemic disease, a nonlinear delay mathematical model is proposed with two control methods of vaccination and insecticides, and time delay is incorporated in the model because the Vibrio cholera always survives for a long period of time in the contaminated water. The stability analysis of the model is conducted, but when the time delay length exceeds a threshold, the model has a destabilizing effect on the system, Hopf-bifurcation occurs. Finally, numerical simulation is used to study the validity of the two control methods and the effect of delay size on the stability of the model.
