Abstract:The normal operation of the power electronic converter is dependent on the supply of the power network. However, the internal ACDC module is very easy to cause the distortion of the input current. Aiming at the problems of harmonic pollution and electrical safety, based on the analysis of the operating principle of power factor correction, taking NCP1654 as the core, this paper puts forward a design method of power factor correction circuit, and the circuit design of the prototype, the calculation and selection of the parameters of the main components, the simulation analysis and the prototype test are completed. The simulation and experimental results show that the power factor correction circuit has the advantages of simple control, high power factor, low total harmonic distortion of current waveform. The elimination of the harmonic and the correction of the input current phase can improve the power efficiency and power quality of the system, and ensure the economic and safe operation of the power grid and the electrical equipment, achieve the power grid harmonic standards requirements of the domestic Technical Supervision Bureau and the International Electrotechnical Commission.
