By literature and materials method, questionnaire, interview, experiment and statistics method, this paper studies swimming course situation from the perspective of learning will, teacher team capacity, safety situation of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University (FAFU) and the swimming situation in other universities, designs two swimming course modes suitable for FAFU such as public optional course and swimming optional course. By launching public optional swimming course, the students highly satisfy the course in the aspects of teaching contents, teaching method and examination method and so on.
