Hypoglycemic activity of polysaccharides from Opuntia for diabetic mice is studied. Diabetic mice is given Polysaccharides from Opuntia and compare with those in control group by observing daily diet of mice, week weight and blood sugar level to determine whether polysaccharides from Opuntia have hypoglycemic activity. The results show that there are statistically significant differences in comparison with those in the control group. The data suggests that polysaccharides from Opuntia have hypoglycemic activity.
