Abstract: Firstly, the theory foundations of wavelet transform are introduced by the view of mathematics . From the angle of the experimentation in the Matlab, this paper discusses and analyzes the app lication of image comp ression based on the wavelet transformation. This papermakes an introductory review on the image texture an2 alytical techniques including the last achievement in this field.
