言语行为理论的提出震惊了知识界,尤其是语言学界。他们在语言的研究中第一次意识到言语是一种行为。言语行为理论自奥斯汀首先提出,后经塞尔的继承和发展,已经为人们所普遍接受。后来哈贝马斯在奥斯汀和塞尔的影响下提出了自己的言语行为理论,使之更加完善。
