Abstract:Cross-border e-commerce trade model has become the new engine of foreign trade development of China. The analysis by using extended trade gravity model shows that, in eight main markets of China’s cross-border e-commerce export trade, the United States and South Korea belong to potential-reconstruction-style market, European Union, Russia, Japan, India, ASEAN and Brazil belong to potential-development-style market, the cross-border e-commerce export potential of China to new emerging market is bigger than that of mature market. Just like traditional international trade, the market scale, trade openness extent and the number of inbound tourists of import places are positively correlated with cross-border e-commerce export trade scale, however, the trade distance between the trade parties is negatively correlated with cross-border e-commerce export trade scale, and the consumption gap between the trade parties is negatively correlated with cross-border e-commerce export trade scale, which indicate that present cross-border e-commerce export mainly takes intra-industry trade. China should select trade partners, actively develop new emerging market, improve market access from the hardware, boost market homogeneity from the software, innovate cross-border e-commerce trade model, improve product quality, strengthen individualized and diversified production so as to boost high-quality development of China’s cross-border e-commerce.
