Abstract:Rural female labor transfer is conducive to the promotion of new-style urbanization and industrialization and is helpful to farmer income growth and rural village revitalization. Based on the survey data of 597 rural female labors in 14 villages of Jiangsu Province, this paper uses Logit model to empirically analyze the nearby transfer of rural female labor and its influencing factors. The study finds that the nearby transfer has become an important channel for rural female labor transfer, and that multiple factors including human capital, family endowment and institutional environments have an impact on the nearby transfer of rural female labor, among which, the factors such as education level, family support attitude, housework sharing, family income, the willingness of migrant workers to return home to start business and regional economic development level have positive effects on the nearby transfer of rural female labor; while age, marital status, and whether there are children, adolescents or the elderly in the family are not statistically significant effect on the nearby transfer of the rural female labor. Based on this, this paper proposes to carry out vocational training of rural female labor, boost the house work by the cooperation of husband and wife, optimize the entrepreneurial environment, create rural female employment opportunity, so as to promote the nearby transfer of rural female labor.
