The reform and opening-up of Chongqing have made great achievements. In the 40 years, Chongqing’s reform and opening-up underwent four periods, were the important components of national reform and opening-up, and had both overall character and regional particularity. After the 19th National Congress of CPC, Chongqing’s reform and opening-up enter into a new stage. Chongqing’s future development trend is to build Chongqing into the strategic support point of western development and the connection point between “the Belt and Road” and the Yangtze River Economic Belt so as to attain the goal of inland open highland and the place with picturesque scenery. In the future, Chongqing should reach this objective by national-level transportation hub construction and national strategic site construction of advanced manufacturing industries.
