Abstract:Based on the panel data of China’s provinces collected during the period of 2006 -2015, this paper examines the features of spatial correlation network and its influencing factors of China’s regional innovation by using the methods of SNA and QAP regression analysis. The results show that the comprehensive indexes of regional innovation of each province are on the rise, but with a gap between the eastern, central and western regions during the sample period, that each region trends to equalized development and spatial correlation of regional innovation is more closed but there is big space for upgrading, that innovative centers are agglomerated at eastern regions, the eastern regions absorb the inflow of the innovation resources of other regions and have bigger influence on the innovative activities of other regions, its regional innovation linkage is better than central and western regions. The spatial correlation and spillover effect of regional innovation are significantly affected by such regional differences as geographical location, industrial structure, scientific and technological input, foreign open-up, economic development level and so on. China should make differentiated regional innovation policy, bring each regional innovation into fully play in the total innovation network, accelerate the promotion of regional coordinated development strategy, narrow the regional difference between new environment and innovative activities and boost the coordinated innovation of holistic region.
