Abstract:ICH culture can be divided into such four levels as material product, production technology, cultural function and value outlook, the establishment and development of overseas Confucius Institutes can boost the understanding of China’s ICH technology by the people of the host countries, uphold the appreciating level on China’s ICH, strengthen their identity on China’s ICH value outlook and furthermore, promote the export of China’s ICH products. This paper takes gravity model of trade to study the effect of Confucius Institutes on China’s ICH products export by using the data from 2004 to 2014 and by selecting 37 sample countries and regions. The empirical results indicate whether the quantity or the influence force of Confucius Institutes significantly boosts China’s ICH product export to the host countries. When the economic development level of the host country (or the region) is lower, Confucius Institutes has stronger boosting effect on China’s ICH product export. China should promote China’s ICH product export by depending on the cultural exchange platform of Confucius Institutes.
