According to 2009 Report of Taiwan Electronic and Electronic Manufacture Association (TEEMA), Chongqing’s investment environment is improved for Taiwan merchants. The investment of Taiwan merchants in Chongqing is further attracted by the set-up of exchange platform between Chongqing and Taiwan, the construction of inland open height, support of national preferential policies, coordination with good industrial basis, enlargement of information industry and so on, however, the overall Chongqing’s investment environment lags behind costal areas of the east region in such field as higher logistic cost, weak export economy and so on. Chongqing should draw the lesson from the experience of east region in investment invitation, perfect the preferential policies for attracting foreign investment, maintain the continuity of the policies, promote the transparency of the administration, consolidate financial reform and intellectual property right protection and accelerate the construction of modernized comprehensive transportation system.
