Ecological desertification in western China, resources shortage and serious pollution d industry and agriculture make the western areas face the double assignment of economic developmont and ecological environment reconstruction so that western areas must select the mode of interactive development. The content of this mode includes interaction of hnm-n beings with nature, interaction in the regions and industrial interaction. Based on the content and conception of this mode, multiple methods should be used to realize interaction of human beings with nature, to establish regional coordinative mechanism inside the region, to realize interactive developmont between west area and inland area and to develop ecological industry and environment protection industry to realize interactive industries.
