Economic regions and megalopolises have already been important forces to promote the regional development,and they will make China a multi-pole structure.So the competition or co-operation among different regions will be an important factor that affects region-al development.Therefore,the strategic direction in regional development of economic region at upper reaches of Yangtze River is intemal co-integration based on self reality and active cooperation with each economic region of Yangtze River and cooperation with Zhujiang Delta and cooperation with ASEAN.
