Motivation-hygiene theory believes that only the motivation factors can motivate employee, while the hygiene factors cannot motivate employee except the hygiene role, Yet experience tells us it is not the truth. Through the two variables of employee job satisfaction and job performance, an empirical study was conducted to testify what the motivation-hygiene theory said. The study result shows that the relationship between employee job satisfaction on motivation factors and employee job performance is not significant, so is the relationship employee job satisfaction on hygiene factors and employee job performance. It means that on a certain occasion motivation factors maybe lose the fraction to motivate employee and probably hygiene factors can play a role in motivating employee.
