Foreign direct investment (FDI) is one of the important causes of imbalanced regional economic growth and the gap between the east and the west. FDI in China focuses on coastal areas and especially on Zhujiang Delta and Yangtze Delta. Recently the trend of FDI in China begins to go to north and the trend to go to west is not clear. As far as development trend concerned, the step of FDI in China "goes to north and west" will be accelerated and the trend should be promoted by taking measures.
