This paper thoroughly analyzes the evolvement of the whole configuration and the change in the internal configuration of the tertiary industry. We find that the evolvement of the whole configuration is regular. The change of the internal configuration of the tertiary industry in Chongqing is faster than that of the nation. At last, based on the actuality, this paper raises some countermeasures to boost the sustained development of the tertiary industry in Chongqing.
