Based on challenge and opportunity of China 's WTO entry, western development and new Three Gorges Project, this paper points out three opportunities faced by Chongqing economy development. The opportunity of foreign trade and finance development is brought into by opening to outside and the opportunity of tourism development is brought into by new Three Gorges Project. Development of Chongqing 's economy is facing challenge in such four aspects as commence, finance, state-owned enterprises and government.
