Meteorological economics construction is not only a comprehensive and long-term basic construction but also is related to development strategy of meteorological departments at new century. This paper believes that the prosperous meteorological economics needs to further promote meteorological economics discipline construction and development, specially needs to conduct more deep research on the basis of meteorological economics including research object of meteorological economics, discipline characteristics, research contents and research methods and so on so as to lay substantial theoretical basis for further developing meteorological economics.
