Land is farmers' most important productive material.In order to make real and effective land policy,farmers' attitude towards land and the important role of land towards farmers must be correctly mastered.Based on spot survey of Meitan County and Jinsha County,farmers' attitude to land is studied from the aspects of farmers' viewpoint on land,farmers' dependence on the land,farmers' will on land transfer,the outgoing of labor force and so on.The conclusion is that farmers should have permanent use right of land,that the compensating system of the expropriation of land should be perfected,that the mechanism of land transfer should be improved and that the safety of national food should be protected,and so on.
