| The last decade has witnessed significant results of China’s Western Development, but there are still many problems. In the next decade, as the critical period for deepening the plan of China’s Western Development, we must adhere to the guideline of “getting people rich as the first priority, to value stability as the most important affair”, pay more attention to maintaining social stability, create more employment opportunities and tangible benefits to the people, vigorously promote the implementation of three major strategies, namely, to nurture the new growth pole, to realize the interaction among industrialization, urbanization and informationization and to carry out the new-type opening-up, further strengthen national policy support, and effectively improve the western self development ability and comprehensive competitiveness, taking China’s western region on the sustainable, steady, rapid and healthy development track as soon as possible. |
