| 省域中心地区与边缘地区的经济发展差距是一个虽然被人忽视但却是影响中国经济发展的大问题.分析发现,这一差距比东西部地区和城乡之间的差距还要大.在省际之间即边界地区形成了大范围的欠发达地区,既有地理和历史的原因,也有体制和行政区划方面的原因.培育或建立更多的区域中心城市,促进边缘地区的发展,以改变目前每省只有一个超大城市,而缺少大中城市的状况乃是当务之急. |

| Economic development gap between central area of a province and its border area is a big problem that is ignored and affects economic development of China. This gap is bigger than the gap between the east and the west and than the gap between city and countryside. A lot of undeveloped areas exist in border areas because of geography and history and because of system and administrative area leadership. It is necessary to change current situation that there is only one super city and there is short of middle-sized and big cites by cultivating and constructing more central cities to accelerate development of border areas. |
