| 通过对西部地区利用外商直接投资现状的分析,提出了西部地区应转变政府职能、创造良好的引资环境,加强西部基础设施建设,充分发挥西部地区的劳动力和自然资源丰富的比较优势,鼓励外资投向高新技术产业,鼓励大型跨国公司来西部进行投资和并购国有企业等一系列措施来加快引进外商直接投资,促进西部地区经济快速增长. |

| Present condition and strategies for utilization of foreign direct investment in west China |

| Abstract: |
| This paper points out the advantages and disadvantages of foreign direct investment in western regions of China through the analysis of the present condition of the foreign direct investment in these regions. The author provides a series of suggestions to fasten the introduction of foreign direct investment and to promote economic growth in western regions,including changing the role of the government and creating good investment environment, strengthening infrastructure construction, making full use of the competitive advantages of rich natural resources and labor power, encouraging foreign investment to be shifted to high-tech industries and gigantic international corporations to invest and merge the state-owned enterprises, etc. |
