Sports culture is the precondition to realize sports culture confidence and great power of sports, and the examination on national sports culture development from the perspective of culture consciousness is conducive to rational inheritance and successful transformation of national traditional sports culture. By using literature and materials, experts interview, logic analysis method, and the related theories of culture consciousness, this paper analyzes the phenomena in the development of national traditional sports, and finds that the consciousness degree is not high and that there are the unconsciousness behaviors such as insufficient rational understanding and unreasonable inheritance, insufficient systematic transmission mechanism, innovation absence, fixed development mode, unconscious human destruction, dependence on western sports culture, selfcontemptuous psychology on selfculture and so on. According to these unconscious sports culture phenomena, this paper points out the strategy and path for national traditional sports to realize culture consciousness.
